The Hebrew and Jewish Studies program has been expanding since its inception in fall 2004. Fall 2007 saw enrollments in the triple digits, and for the second time, we opened two sections of beginning Hebrew 1010. In spring semester 2008 we will, for the first time, be opening a second section of Hebrew 1020, which is the continuation of the first semester language course. The students in these courses, as well as in the Introduction to Jewish Culture course, are from varied backgrounds, and come from across the state of Colorado and from all over the United States, and we draw on some international students as well. The program is progressing very well, and we hope to expand the course offerings both in the language and the culture tracks in the not too distant future.
