It is now the third year that Hebrew language and Jewish culture courses are offered through our department. The new academic year brought with it an unprecedented number of enrollments so that, for the first time ever, we have two beginners’ classes as the number of registered students far exceeded our expectation and was too big for a single language course. The growing number of students enrolled in these courses suggests that there is sufficient interest in the field to accommodate the creation of new courses, and possibly the addition of new instructors in the future. Any support offered to aid the enhancement of the program, in any way possible, would be greatly appreciated.
